Chengdu AIDI Eye Hospital is the First Class Hospital at Grade III eye hospital, also known as ‘三甲’ (the highest hospital grade in China). It was established by the medical team of West China Hospital in 2013.
AIDI Eye Hospital was consist of 13 departments (Retina & Vitreous, refractive correction, cornea transplant, cataract, pediatric ophthalmology, ocular surface, dry eye, lacrimal passage, strabismus, amblyopia, ocular trauma, orbital diseases and glaucoma), with 54 doctors, 117 nurses, 100 beds beds and cutting-edge equipment, the medical team continue to provide high quality eye care service to domestic and international patients.
AIDI Eye Hospital is aggregated with clinical care, academy, preventive medicine, charity and international cooperation. Up to now, AIDI Eye hospital have 34 membership of the academic society at home and abroad and obtains 19 national patents, 12 science and technology progress awards, 7 SCI papers and 4 ophthalmic monographs.
For the international cooperation, AIDI Eye Hospital cooperated with Alabama Eye Bank, International Sight Restoration Eye Bank, Sri Lanka International Eye bank,Nepal Manmohan Memorial Hospital etc.
For the CSR, AIDI kept practicing in “the Belt and Road Initiative” actively, had successfully participated in international aid and managed to perform charitable cataract surgeries in Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Nepal and Cambodia, meanwhile engaged itself in the projects of blindness prevention and poverty alleviation.
